Songs of Soul and Inspiration Event (June 21, 2008)
Patti will be performing at the Songs of Soul and Inspiration event tonight along with Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar, Jamia, Chaka Khan, Queen Latifah, Dionne Warwick, CeCe Winans, and Ann Nesby appearing with Paris Bennett.

NAACP Image Award Nomination (January 16, 2008)
Patti has been nominated for a NAACP Image Award in the category of Outstanding Jazz Artist.
The 39th NAACP Image Awards will take place on Thursday, February 14, 2008 at the Shrine Auditorium in Los Angeles.
Grammy Nominations (December 7, 2007)
Patti has received two Grammy nominations for her album, Avant Gershwin. One nomination is for "Best Jazz Vocal Album" and the other is for "Best Instrumental Arrangement Accompanying Vocalist" for the album track "Overture/Gershwin Medley." This marks the second consecutive album Patti has had nominated for a Grammy.
Performing with Wichita Symphony (May 21, 2007)
Patti will perform a 12-song, 40 minute tribute to the jazz great Ella Fitzgerald with the Wichita Symphony Orchestra on Saturday, May 26, 2007, during the Koch Industries Twilight Pops Concert.
Gershwin Master Classes (May 3, 2007)
As praise continues to pour in for Patti Austin's new album Avant Gershwin, the legendary vocalist will hold free Gershwin master classes at Borders Stores nationwide in affiliation with the GRAMMY® In The Schools program. Austin will select vocal students from high schools, performing arts schools, colleges, and conservatories to participate in master classes where she will offer vocal coaching using Gershwin's brilliant compositions while other students and the public are invited to watch. Following the class, Austin will hold a Q&A session for everyone in attendance where she will answer questions about life as a professional musician and perform selections from her "lustrous" (Jazz Times) new album Avant Gershwin. The May Master Classes are as follows:
